We are pleased to announce our new Programs Committee for the Arroyo Arts Collective: Yvonne Jongeling, Susan Savory, Edith de Guzman and Jolly de Guzman. The committee is now seeking curatorial proposals for the 2025 year and beyond. We are also looking for venue recommendations to showcase our members’ projects.

 

 

 

  • Yvonne Jongelingis a newly approved board member for the Arroyo Arts Collective. She is a first-born Dutch-American artist who recreates moments in time from journaled memories. Yvonne recently enjoyed a solo show at The Blue Wall Alcove, entitled “Momenten” at Avenue 50 Studio.
  • Susan Savoryis a visual artist living and working at The Brewery Arts Complex in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of LA, and an active AAC member. Susan recently curated the AAC show Aperire :: April at the Los Angeles Makery Gallery, Los Angeles, CA.
  • Edith and Jolly de Guzman are artists and curators and are collectively known as dearantler. Their work tackles the relationship between humans and the environment, and the intersection of art and science. Their curated shows include Within :: Withoutand Shade in LA. They are currently the curators and artists of the traveling show What’s On Tap, showing at Avenue 50 Studio and El Tranquilo Gallery in Olvera Street.

Submissions from Member applicants of all levels of curatorial experience are encouraged. AAC welcomes inquiries and can provide guidance in the submission process, as needed.

Curatorial Proposals must include the following to be considered by the AAC Programs Committee. 

Subject or theme must not contain discriminatory, violent, or other content that could be construed as targeting any group.
