A “Novel” Defense
Face Masks as Art
Samantha Harrison

The Arroyo Arts Collective in conjunction with Random Custom Framing and The Slow Down Gallery

invite artists of all disciplines to create decorative medical style face masks as part of an effort to get our minds off the news and flex our creative muscles. Wild flights of imagination are heartily encouraged. For this exhibit, nothing is too subtle or too baroque.

Masks can fall into two (2) categories:
those that are meant to be used & (decorated)
and those that are purely decorative to hang on the wall
Any Medium accepted (wood, ceramic, yarn, paper, painting, photography, etc…)

All work will hang in the window of The Slow Down Gallery
200 N Avenue 64 Highland Park, CA 90042
and will be for sale (first come first served basis) through promotion on social media.
Artists will be asked to set the price for each individual piece.
Sale price to be split between artist (40-50%),
LA COVID-19 Mask Makers (25 -30%) and Slow Down Gallery administrative fees (20-25%)
