Peace & Unity

Entry Deadline: Midnight, August 31st, 2024

Exhibition: October 5 – November 3, 2024

Berkeley 1970, Courtesy of the Center for the Study of Political Graphics

Project Description

The Arroyo Arts Collective invites artists to participate in the following juried multi-disciplinary exhibition at the Avenue 50 Studio.

Important elections are on the horizon, with critical domestic and international implications. Activist art is a powerful tool with a long and varied history. Just consider, as one example, the impact of Picasso’s “Guernica.”

For this call we ask you to explore the themes of peace, unity, political identity, diversity of opinion, and productive democratic discourse.

We are looking for a respectful artistic dialogue, please no hate speech or pornography.

All mediums and styles of work will be considered. Both flat and 3-dimensional are welcome. There are a limited number of pedestals so it is encouraged that artists supply their own method of display for freestanding pieces.

Curator: AAC member Robin Potash
