Rubbish Remix

Entry Deadline: Midnight, September 22nd, 2024

Exhibition: October 24 – November 11, 2024

Project Description
The Rubbish Remix Show is a vibrant celebration of creativity and sustainability, showcasing artworks made from at least 70% reused materials. For example, an artist might create a vase using styrofoam and newspaper, incorporating a tufted exterior using new yarns. This event encourages Arroyo Arts Collective members to repurpose discarded items into new, imaginative creations, demonstrating the beauty and potential of what others might consider trash.

All mediums and styles of work will be considered. Both flat and 3-dimensional are welcome, with preference given to work that can be hung or mounted on a wall. Freestanding pieces will be considered.

Curated by Shirley Huang and Christina Ng
