Entry Deadline: July 31, 2026
Exhibition: September 19 – October 15, 2026
Inspired by Woody Guthrie’s activist song “This Land Is Your Land,” the Arroyo Arts Collective and the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock present an exhibition responding to our changing climate. As individuals, the enormity of environmental threats can be overwhelming. But the old mantra “think globally, act locally” rings true with inspiration and the potential to empower. Collectively, local acts make a global impact, and the exhibition This Land Is Your Land invites artists interested in exploring these topics and celebrating the power of local action.
We invite a range of artistic interpretations on the themes of environmental protection, sustainability, climate adaptation, and a connection to nature. We welcome works that document or interpret the climate changes that are happening, and we encourage works that explore solutions and a vision for the future. We wish to uplift local voices and visions for a future built on social and environmental justice.
There will be an interactive part of the exhibition where audience can respond to artwork via blackout poetry.
