On November 2, 2018, the Avenue 50 Studio will join forces with the Arroyo Arts Collective, the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council, the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce, La Culebra Action League, Mi Vida Boutique, DSTL Arts and CD 14 to present our very first Dia de los Muertos/Pumpkin Patch Festival at Tierra de la Culebra Art Park, 240 S. Avenue 57, Highland Park, 90042.

3:30pm – Gather at the Highland Park Senior Center, 6152 N. Figueroa St, Highland Park, 90042 and parade down Figueroa Street, led by Aztec Drummers and Dancers, to Tierra de la Culebra Art Park.

5:30pm – Enjoy Art Park activities, including an Open Mic for those who want to sing, play music, recite poetry, or have something to say. DSTL Arts will be hosting a ‘Zine Making workshop, artist Margarita Media will set up a Papel Picado table and the gente from Mi Vida Boutique will offer face painting. A community alter will be set up for all who would like to honor their lost loved ones. Pumpkins, courtesy Highland Park Chamber of Commerce will be given to the children. Savor refreshments provided by our local grocery stores and restaurants. Bring the kids, and be a kid. Costumes appreciate.
