In conjunction with Museums of the Arroyo Day (MOTA), the Arroyo Arts Collective will host free workshops at the Autry’s Historic Southwest Museum Mt. Washington Campus located at 234 Museum Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90065, on May 19th from 12 – 4pm.

Join Margarita Medina and Linda Hoag in a salute to Spring and the painted lady butterflies in their migratory path through California. Create butterflies and flowers, including California Poppies, out of various materials – then take them with you or donate to our Spring Garden.

Currently, we are living a phenomenon of beauty in nature with both manifestations of mother earth; butterflies and flowers. Take advantage and create awareness about the importance of caring for and preserving our environment.

Bees and Butterflies: Beyond Borders is made possible in part through the generous support of the Autry Museum of the American West, the Department of Cultural Affairs City of Los Angeles, the Lummis Day Community Foundation, and the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission..
