In Summer, The Song Sings Itself!

Save the Date: Saturday August 3rd, Owlapalooza! commemorates the 30th anniversary of the Arroyo Arts Collective, and the 6th year of their Theater and Performance division, Teatro Arroyo, with a night of Art, Music, Words, Burlesque and Owls! Fantastic Food, Luscious Libations, and a Silent Auction of Owl-themed and inspired art will make this a night to remember! All proceeds benefit the Arroyo Arts Collective and are tax deductible.

Call for Art: Some Place Like Home invites artists to submit work inspired and related to the themes of home and displacement. We are particularly interested in narrative works reflecting current or historical events. Submission deadline is Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 4:00 pm. Exhibition at Avenue 50 Studios, 131 N. Avenue 50 Studio, Highland Park, in August.

Call for Art: What Is It? Where Is It? Why Is It? is an Arroyo Arts Collective members only* show, featuring abstract work that is sourced in a sense of place. Submission deadline is Sunday, June 30 2019 at 12:00am. Exhibition location at Neutra Museum and Gallery, 2379 Glendale Blvd., Silver Lake, in September.

Call for Art: Owl Themed Art is your chance to celebrate the Arroyo Arts Collective’s 30 years of programming in the NELA community. Create something “owl”related for our fundraising party at Owl Bureau on August 3rd. Submission deadline is Friday, July 19, 2019. Exhibition location at Owl Bureau, 5634 N Figueroa St, Highland Park.


Member exhibits in the Blue Wall Alcove at Avenue 50 Studio continue through 2019. Monthly shows coincide with NELA Second Saturday Artwalk.

La Tierra de la Culebra Art Park is taking the winter off. Join us in April as we partner with other local non-profit groups to bring you puppets, chess events, art, drums, and more! Puppets in the Park will return for 3rd Sunday’s with fun show and puppet crafts.
