Enjoy a truly unique blend of art and nature, and a rare glimpse of an urban wildlife sanctuary set in a Northeast Los Angeles neighborhood.

BEES AND BUTTERFLIES: BEYOND BORDERS – Please join the Arroyo Arts Collective for a series of free and family friendly paper bag puppet workshops in April and May. This year’s theme features beautiful Monarch butterflies, whose brilliant migrations are wonders to behold, and the bees that swarm to find new homes and to pollinate our food and flowers.

Then on Sunday, June 2, we hope you will bring your puppet(s) and join us for the 4th annual Lummis Day Puppet Parade. We welcome insect costumes, hats and masks, so brush up your antennae and shine your exoskeleton.

In conjunction with Museums of the Arroyo (MOTA) Day, the Arroyo Arts Collective will host free workshops at the Autry’s Historic Southwest Museum Mt. Washington Campus located at 234 Museum Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90065, on May 19th from 12 – 4pm.

Join Margarita Medina and Linda Hoag in a salute to Spring. California. Create butterflies and flowers, including California Poppies, out of various materials – that you can then take with you or donate to our Spring Garden.

Member exhibits in the Blue Wall Alcove at Avenue 50 Studio continue through 2019. Monthly shows coincide with NELA Second Saturday Artwalk.

La Tierra de la Culebra Art Park is taking the winter off. Join us in April as we partner with other local non-profit groups to bring you puppets, chess events, art, drums, and more! Puppets in the Park will return for 3rd Sunday’s with fun show and puppet crafts.
